About Me

Hello, my name is Robbie MacPris and im a self taught landscape photographer from the western Highlands of Scotland in a wee town called Fort William. I started my photography journey when i was roughly 16 years old and it was with a Fuji Finepix S5100 which was a bridge camera and honestly it was shockingly bad but it got me interested in the hobby. It must of been when i was 18/19 years old i got really into hillwalking and the outdoors which after watching a lot of hillwalking youtubers i came across a landscape photographer called Thomas Heaton and he got me into Landscape photography, after watching him for a while i took the plundge and got my first DSLR which was a Canon EOS 4000D and i loved it to bits, it was here that i went out every night to take images of the sunset and grand landscapes but as you could imaging it wasnt that good as i really had no idea what i was doing. over the next few years i taught myself how to edit, properly expose and compose images but just before COVID-19 hit i fell out of love with photography for whatever reason, i never wanted to take the camera out and when i did i never shot anything and it wasnt until march 2024 i picked the camera back up and started shooting again and ive never been more happy.

Like i said already im a Landscape photographer so thats what I mainly shoot, although i like to delve into other genres (i.e Street photography, car, etc) whenever i can. You can see my best images from all the genres i shoot in my portfolio in the Gallery tab.
